A truck crashed into the school grounds of Lismore South Public School just before midday this afternoon.
No students were injured in the incident.
The driver, aged in his 30s, suffered leg injuries and was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment.
It is understood he may have suffered a medical incident prior to the crash.
Students have not had classes in the school buildings since the February 2022 flood. Classes had been operating out of demountables on the school's sport fields across the road.
The Paveliner truck, used to repair potholes, crashed into the fence surrounding the school and into a brick stairwell on the corner of Wilson and Phyllis streets in South Lismore.
