Breakfast television show Studio 10 has announced its final episode will air in late December after the program was not renewed for 2024. Hosts Angela Bishop and Tristan MacManus posted a video announcement to Instagram saying it was a "tough day for the whole Studio 10 family". "We've loved bringing you the show everyday for the last ten years, it's been a blast," Ms Bishop said. Studio 10 produced more than 2,500 shows in an "epic decade" of morning television chatting with regular favourite guests including Denise Drysdale, Denise Scott and Kerri-Anne Kennerley. Network Ten said the show was a "great contributor" to the daytime program lineup. "We would like to sincerely thank all those who have participated in and supported the program over the past decade and to the millions of viewers who tuned in over that time, " a spokesperson said. "It has been a show that has provided copious amounts of feelgood fun, joy, passion, heart, entertainment, and unforgettable moments all against the backdrop of live television. "Although we are sad to be farewelling the program, the decision to cease production of Studio 10 comes after a change in viewing habits in daytime television. "In 2024 there will be a new morning lineup with an increased focus on news and current affairs later in the day." IN OTHER NEWS: The cast will remain at Network Ten "as will the majority of our hard working and beloved behind the scenes crew". Mr MacManus said there were "a lot of exciting new projects" on the horizon. The final show will air on December 22, 2023. "We promise you, we'll be going out with a bang," the announcement said. Studio 10 launched the pioneering concept of a live audience for breakfast television in November 2013 with Ita Buttrose, Sarah Harris Joe Hildebrand and Jessica Rowe as hosts.
