Services Australia staff are on the ground in droves in and around Lismore and want to make it as painless as possible for flood victims to claim payments, and provide additional support.

At all locations, staff can help people claim the Disaster Recovery Payment and the Disaster Recovery Allowance.

They also have specialist staff available to provide extra support, including social workers (who can provide counselling and referrals to further services), Indigenous Service Officers and Multicultural Service Officers (for people who may need interpreters).
