River levels along the Wilsons River at Lismore are slowly receding and have fallen below the height of the levee. River levels are likely to remain above the major flood level (9.7m) on Thursday.

Rainfall has eased since late Wednesday over the Wilsons catchment, with major flooding continuing along the Wilsons River at Lismore. River level peaks were observed upstream of Lismore along the Wilsons River at Woodlawn around 3 pm Wednesday and along Leycester Creek at Tuncester around 8 pm Wednesday.
A major flood peak of 11.4m was observed at Lismore around 5pm Wednesday.

At 8.20am today (Thursday March 31), the river had dropped to 10.7m and was slowly falling.
It is still at major flood level, so caution is needed around waterways and on roads that may be flooded.
The river level may fall below the major flood level (9.70 m) Thursday afternoon or evening.
Police are still searching for a missing woman, Anita Brakel, who is believed to have been trapped in her car at Monaltrie during rising floodwater on Tuesday.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecast more showers today, easing after today.
Temperatures are expected to reach 26C today and remain in the mid to high 20s.
