Hogan has been appointed to the role of Shadow Trade and Tourism Minister within Shadow Cabinet.
He's been rewarded for being one of the only Coalition members to safely hold his seat against swings to Labor, Greens and Independents at the recent election.
The Trade and Tourism portfolio is a plumb job and one Hogan could do well in.
"Our region is a large exporter, especially in the agriculture sector," he said of his appointment.
"I am looking forward to fulfilling this important role."
Hogan's elevation to the role has seen him come back from the cold.
He briefly sat on the cross benches after the ousting of Liberal leader Malcolm Turnbull.
He said at the time he was sick of the revolving door of leaders in politics.
The electorate of Page has rewarded him for his stance voting him in with increased margins at the past two polls.
