The 37-year-old arrived in Sydney on Wednesday after travelling from Albany in Western Australia, where she completed her 92-day solo, non-stop and unassisted expedition.
"It's been miserable, squally conditions all morning and literally within 20 minutes of arrival, the sun shines," she told followers on Instagram as she arrived in Sydney and docked at Rushcutters Bay.
Although Blair completed the circumnavigation on May 25, shaving 10 days off the previous record, Wednesday was her boat's first return to Sydney.
"Sailing for me is all about just testing myself and overcoming these challenges," she said before setting off on her journey
"You have to harness the wind to get from point A to point B and you've got to figure it out and make these repairs and make the boat get across an ocean all on your own and I just love that challenge.
"The more I sail the more I want to sail."
She describes herself as an ocean sailor, adventurer, keynote speaker, sailing teacher and published writer.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Art and Bachelor of Education from SCU, Lisa has a talent for combining creativity with an engaging, educational message. Her 50-foot yacht is wrapped in a colourful design of post-it note messages from the community about environmental action.
"I did an art degree so I want to make sure that everything I do in life is still fun, playful and colourful. When I first purchased my yacht, which is called Climate Action Now, I designed this post-it note campaign which includes messages from people in the community about things they're doing for the environment to work towards a better future.
"I collated all of these and we turned it into this colourful design," Lisa said.
"The goal is to inspire individuals we have the power to create change, it just starts with one small action," she said.

After experiencing bullying at high school, Lisa said her time at Southern Cross University provided her with an incredible opportunity to meet a supportive network of people.
"My friends at university all helped me grow into the person I am today and without that experience," she said.
