Were you among the many hundreds who attended the inaugural Lismore Housing Expo last weekend?
Council staff were overwhelmed by the support and the huge turnout at the Expo at the South Lismore Bowling Club. More than 400 people joined us, making the event a great success!
Whether you were seeking expert advice about housing and planning, exploring options for granny flats or gathering information about recovery support, your participation demonstrated how important events like these are to our community.
Thank you to our exhibitors and speakers for attending and providing our community access to this important advice and information.
Christmas is just around the corner and council has lots of fun activities and events planned, including Carols in the Heart which this year will be held at Oakes Oval on Sunday, December 10, between 4pm and 9pm.
This year internationally renowned musical artists Paul Tabone and Mirusia will team up to deliver a magical Christmas celebration for the community with their rich smooth tones and versatility.
There are also lots of local musicians, bands and performers on the line-up including The Buckleys, Pink Zinc, Luke Vassella, Megan Philips Dance Group, and Isabella A Cappella.
Of course, Santa will make an appearance, with the night concluding with an unforgettable laser spectacular.
Nominations are now open for council's Australia Day 2024 Awards.
This is a great opportunity to nominate someone you know who has given back to the community and made our local government area an even better place to work, live and raise a family.
