So it is inviting community feedback to guide that process.
The Lismore Skatepark and Youth Precinct will be a brand new space built in the Lismore CBD including a competition level skatepark, for recreational activities, a hang out space and events. There will be plenty of new technologies included and infrastructure to support youth.
The 2300sqm park will be built next to Oakes Oval between Dawson and Uralba streets in the CBD linking the CBD block to Lismore Shopping Square.
The Precinct will include:
- a skatepark
- youth play experiences
- sports climbing feature
- seating
- shade
- sports lighting
- capacity to run events for the whole community
The Concept Plan is on display, and will undergo further community consultation to develop a finalised concept plan for construction to commence in 2024.

Community consultation to secure funding for this project has been ongoing since December 2021.
Consultation is ongoing with a number of Youth based organisations, including Richmond District Police, Office for Regional Youth, PCYC and many more. All of which have identified a need for a space and activities for the youth of Lismore and surrounds.
