Officers attached to the Gang Crime Squad, Drug and Firearms Squad and the Tactical Response Group coordinated a number of raids across suburbs in Como, Kinross, Greenmount, Scarborough and Osborne Park on December 9 and 10 in a bid to disrupt crime associated with local bikie gangs.
A WA Police spokesperson confirmed a Hells Angels prospect was arrested at the driveway of his Kinross home around 5pm on December 9.
It will be alleged that when officers searched the home, they found a loaded gun and several ammo stuffed inside a living room sofa.
Cocaine, methamphetamines, steroids and prescription drugs were also allegedly discovered at the home.
The 46-year-old was charged with owning a firearm without a licence and possessing prohibited drugs including cocaine and dexamphetamine.
During the coordinated raids, three motorbikes were seized and another five people were arrested.
The 46-year-old will appear before the courts on December 11.
It comes months after Perth Rebels president Jamie Ginn died in police custody.
The 50-year-old was arrested on October 10 over a number of drug and firearms offences.
Six hours later, police reported he had suffered a medical episode in his jail cell and could not be revived.
His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report was prepared for the coroner.
