Two years on from the 2022 flood, an event is being held by the river as a reflection and acknowledgement of the challenges we are facing, the journey we have ahead of us and the strength of our community.

Resilient Lismore is hosting a community event on March 2nd, at Riverside Park in partnership with many local organisations and supported by Lismore City Council.
It will be held at Riverside Park, Victoria St Lismore (near the boat ramp and dog park), on Saturday, March 2, from 10am - 2.30pm.
There will be great music and food, shady trees to sit under and relaxing activities for the whole family.
"We've come a long way in the last two years and this is a day for us to spend some time together to recognise that," Resilient Lismore executive director, Elly Bird said.
"The strength and connection of our community has carried us a long way. That is what will see us continue to recover and rebuild. We look forward to gathering together to reflect on the past two years and share time with anyone in our community who would like to join us."
Activities will include:
- Welcome to Country, river walk led by Rhoda Roberts AO, 10.30am (supported by NORPA).
- music by Bobby Alu, Felicity Lawless, a local choir led by Imogen Wolf, plus more.
- A tribute to tradies and home rebuilders - you are invited to give thanks for all the repair work.
- Performance by Mitch King, dance workshop, Dear River - listen to community letters to the river, by Jeanti St Clair and Rose Turtle Ertler.
- Interactive art & craft - make your mark in the ground, supported by Love for Lismore.
- Healing Hub tent.
- Tea tent by Red Cross.
- Games & play spaces, supported by Social Futures and Headspace.
- BYO picnic, reusable cup, water bottle
- BBQ, coffee and snacks available
