The Lismore Women's Festival is hosted by Northern Rivers Women and Children's Services Inc. and will be launched by CEO Kelly Banister at the Serpentine Gallery Lismore on March 7 from 5pm. It will coincide with 'The Art of Woman' exhibition with DJ, Louise Thompson of BayFM Sista's of Spin providing the tunes.

The festival program continues on International Women's Day - Friday, March 8 at Southern Cross University.

There will be an Intergenerational Dance workshop facilitated by Miriam Torzillo and other events such as Bundjalung weaving circle with Kyle Caldwell and Egyptian Dance for Wellbeing.
There are many free and low cost workshops happening throughout the day at various locations across the SCU campus including art therapy, radio and podcast production, wellbeing workshops, singing workshop with Imogen Wolf from Northern Rivers Conservatorium and a very special screening of Bundjalung films.
There will be musical and circus arts performances in the SCU Plaza from 10am with electronic music provided by Bay FM Sista's of Spin and Matriarch Records throughout the day in the SCU Lounge, and Band Me Up will be back.
At 12:30pm Mandy Nolan the Festival's Mistress of Ceremony will be introducing keynote speaker, Ashani Dante - thought leader, speaker and visionary on Embodied Feminine Leadership, a type of leadership that inspires women to reclaim their intuitive gifts and harness the power of inner wisdom.
Local high school students will engage in an Emerging Leaders Debate on the topic IS CHIVALRY SEXIST? adjudicated by Vanessa Mitchell. Following this Angela Catterns will be hosting a Fierce Femmes Panel Discussion featuring panelists: Professor Judy Atkinson, Jenny Dowell, Justine Dorrell, Amy Colli and Amarina Toby on the topic: "Count Her In: Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment".
