The Casino Food Co-op welcomed 47 new recruits from Papua New Guinea this week.

They have come to the region as part of the Palm Australia Labour Mobility Scheme that allows eligible Australian businesses to supplement their workforce with workers from Pacific island countries and Timor-Leste.
The workers will be in the region for four years.
Casino Co-op's newest recruits were pretty weary by the time they arrived in Lismore from Papua New Guinea this week.
But Tony Durheim and the team at The Northern Rivers Hotel made sure they were welcomed and well fed on arrival.
Some of the workers will stay at the hotel and others will be accommodated at other locations around the region.
The workers will be in the region for four years as part of the PALM Scheme, providing agricultural workers from the Pacific Islands and Timor Leste.
The Co-op also thanked Summerland Credit Union for their support.
