North Coast Housing has been appointed by the NSW Government to manage the first temporary housing site in Wollongbar that will provide temporary homes for up to 220 people displaced from the floods.

The site will initially include a mix of caravans and self-contained recovery pods from Minderoo Foundation, who partnered with the NSW Government 50:50 to provide the pods as temporary housing for those who lost their homes after the 2019-2020 bushfires.
The pods will be connected to power, water and sewer and equipped with a 2,300-litre water tank and 5 KVA generator, toilet, shower, bunk beds and a small open kitchen.
NCCH will provide and oversee the delivery of services including village management, allocations, tenancies, support services, activities, ground works and maintenance, cleaning and security to ensure residents have a safe, secure and healthy living environment while they rebuild their lives.
