Cyclist Injured - Byron Bay
Around 7.30pm, Saturday, April 13, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a cyclist injured after falling from his bike at Byron Bay. The man in his 20s was treated for multiple injuries by paramedics and the helicopter's critical care medical team before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.
Single Vehicle Accident - Bonalbo
Around 12.30am, Sunday, April 14, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a single vehicle accident at Bonalbo, west of Lismore. A woman in her 20s was treated for multiple injuries by paramedics and the helicopter's critical care medical team before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.
Swimmer Rescue - Byron Bay
Around 9am, Saturday, April 13, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Byron Bay following reports of a swimmer in difficulty. A man in his 60s, suffering a serious medical condition, was treated by paramedics and the helicopter's critical care medical team before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.
