A DETERMINED effort from a young Lismore first grade should hold them in good stead for the rest of the Far North Coast rugby union season.
The Greens were locked at 17-all in just its fourth game of the season against competition leaders Bangalow on the weekend.
The unbeaten Rebels had enough class to snatch the win with a late try to fullback Will Latham.
It was a big effort with four of Bangalow's players recently named in the NSW Country train-on squad.
Lismore No 8 Xavier Sapolo announced his arrival in the top grade and picked up official player-of-the match honours awarded by referee Louis Trisley.
